As the Alliance, we have the chance to meet and interact with so many impactful food organizations in our community. If you are interested in getting a better understanding of the food work in San Diego and available to offer some support, below are a few volunteer opportunities with our partners. Activities are available for individuals, groups and corporate outings. Please note that many opportunities require reservations and coordination in advance.
Feeding San Diego
Feeding San Diego is a non-profit organization dedicated to distributing healthy food with dignity to San Diego residents struggling with hunger. Volunteers help with a variety of projects, including sorting, cleaning, bagging and boxing food, as well as administrative support.
PATH San Diego is dedicated to helping individuals, families and communities end their homelessness. We provide interim housing, employment solutions, and many other services all geared towards helping people move into their own homes. Join a PATHCooks dinner service to help prepare and serve a healthy, balanced meal for the residents living at our Downtown site.
ProduceGood is an organization that gleans backyard fruit in North County to feed hungry San Diegans. Be a part of our ProduceGood Community Orchard where you can volunteer in the field, on the farm, at the market, in a group, at a community event, or with your laptop.
The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank
The San Diego Food Bank partners with more than 400 nonprofits to provide nutritious food to individuals and families in need throughout the county. We rely on individuals and volunteer groups to help us in our warehouse, at food distribution sites, and at Food Bank events.
