We are teaming up with Kitchens for Good, San Diego's premier social enterprise catering company (and the recent recipient of San Diego Magazine's Best Caterer of 2018 'Readers Pick' Award!) for an illuminating event involving hunger in San Diego.

At Empty Bowls you will learn about the state of hunger in San Diego, the innovative approaches being taken to eradicate it, and how YOU can become involved. 

  • Receive a hand-painted bowl, crafted and contributed by Coronado High School students, and a welcome beverage

  • Enjoy a variety of gourmet soups and breads prepared by Kitchens for Good 

  • Listen to a TED-style speaker series helmed by leaders in the San Diego hunger community

  • Elly Brown, Alliance Director of San Diego Food System Alliance

  • Jennifer Gilmore, Executive Director of Kitchens for Good

This event will be hosted at the University of San Diego, Mother Rosalie Hill Hall, on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. The reception will begin at 6:00 PM and the speaker series at 7:00 PM.
