2nd Annual Zero Waste Symposium: Steps toward a sustainable future

Location: County of San Diego's Campus Center Chambers at the County Operations Center at 5520 Overland Avenue San Diego, CA 92123

Symposium speakers include County of San Diego Supervisors Greg Cox ad Dave Roberts, City of Oceanside Councilmember Esther C. Sanchez, Special Assistant to Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins Deanna Spehn, and Deputy Director of Waste Reduction and Disposal Division at the City of San Diego Stephen Grealy 

Presentation topics include Zero Waste benefits and principles, managing edible and compostable discards, source reduction and reuse strategies , recycling, policy development, understanding new state recycling and composting laws, and lots of success stories and tips from public and private sector resource managers advancing towards Zero Waste.

Pre-registration is $50 for general public, $40 for CRRA members, $20 for students and non-profits, and $15 for students who donate an article of clothing to Goodwill (on the day of the event). Registration on the day before and day of the event goes up to $60. So please register in advance at:
